ESTIMATION MODEL PEAK GROUND ACCELERATION MAXIMUM (PGA max) FOR EARTHQUAKE SOURCE ON INTERFACE AND INTRA-SLAB SUBDUCTION FOR SOFT SOIL AT PADANG CITY USING LIN AND LEE ATTENUATION MODEL
Main Article Content
Abstract
The information parameter of peak ground acceleration plays an important role to determine the level of seismic hazard risk in an area, one of which is in the Padang city. The sources of earthquakes in Padang city include the megathrust zone (interface) and Benioff zone (Intraplate). The purpose of this paper to determine estimation model peak ground acceleration maximum (PGA max) due to earthquake sources in the interface and intraslab subduction. The analysis involved to calculate PGAmax at each grid point using Lin & Lee attenuation on soft soil condition. Results of the analysis showed PGA max for earthquake source at interface subduction range form 0.0424 g to 0.0457 g, while for intra-Slab subduction it range 0.0956 g to 0.1146 g. The PGA max are relatively higher for interface subduction occured in Koto Tangah, Nanggalo, parts of North Padang, West Padang, South Padang, Lubuk Begalung and Bungus. While for intra-Slab subduction occured in Koto Tangah, Kuranji, Nanggalo, parts of North Padang and West Padang
